Speaker Information + Resources

Thank you for your interest in speaking at the Science of Reading Summit. I’m so excited to team up with you to pull off an incredible event!

The Science of Reading Summit is a virtual 4-day event that will help reading teachers easily incorporate the science of reading into their lessons.

On this page, you’ll find resources meant to make speaking as easy as possible and answer any questions you have. If you run into a question I didn’t answer, email me at delilah@thriveedservices.com.

As a speaker, you’ll also get free access to the All-Access Pass!

How it will work

The Science of Reading Summit will run from 7/20-7/23. Presentations will include 15-30 minutes of content (with up to a 3-minute freebie pitch).

Along with the presentations, there will be a Facebook group for attendees to have fun in, hold each other accountable, and ask questions. If attendees have good questions while your presentation is going on, you’re welcome to go live in the Facebook group for a bit of an encore to answer those questions, connect with the attendees, and provide even more value.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I’ll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to a VA.

During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the All-Access Pass. This includes an all-access pass for the replays, bonus resources, worksheets, and professional development certificates. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay!

What's in it for you?

Participating in a summit offers a number of benefits for speakers, including:

  1. Growing your email list. I will not be sharing the attendee list with speakers, but attendees can opt into your freebies pitched during your presentation and All-Access Pass contribution. You should see at least several hundred new subscribers, though it’s likely to be more than that.
  2. Growing your audience. I will be promoting this summit to my list of 56,000 and on my website and socials, so you’ll be exposed to my audience, along with other speakers’ audiences. You have the option to engage with summit attendees inside the Facebook group.
  3. Earning a % of sales through affiliate referrals. You’ll get 40% commission on All-Access Pass sales through your referral link. If you contribute to the All-Access Pass bundle, then you’ll get 60% commission on your sales.
  4. A free All-Access Pass for you. You’ll get access to all the presentations and extras for free.
  5. Guidance to help you make the most of the experience. I have created a speaker guide to help you get the most opt-ins and sales.

What I'll ask of you

Introduce the purpose of this section.

1. Basic Information

The first thing I’ll need is some basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and Speakers page.

Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re in, I’ll send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.

2. Presentation

Next up is your presentation! This is a 15-30 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn something great, while having fun in the process.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they’re missing something that they need to buy from you asap.

With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

  • Slides
  • No slides (just your gorgeous/handsome face) BUT I did have some feedback from the 2024 summit that viewers prefer to see at least slides, and also the speaker’s face
  • A mixture of the two

No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future.

Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format:

  • A quick introduction
  • An overview of your topic
  • Where people go wrong with your topic and tend to overcomplicate it
  • Teaching section
  • Specific action steps (with the goal of simplifying their existing process)
  • Up to a 3-minute freebie pitch

Presentations are due by 6/15/26.

Find a PDF download with all this information here.

Submit your presentation here.

3. All-Access Pass Contribution

The All-Access Pass will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to grow your email list, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

  • Templates/activities
  • Worksheets/printables
  • Courses (big or small)
  • 1-month memberships

Note: I expect this to convert well so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate.

Anyone who does contribute a premium resource will get a 60% affiliate commission on sales, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect hundreds of extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.

We cannot accept freebies or percentage-off offers.

Information for these resources is due on 6/15. You’ll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.

Attendees will be able to start claiming your bonus right when registration opens on 7/6.

4. Promotion

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on 7/6/26.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link (which you can set up here) so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any All-Access Pass sales (60% if you’ve contributed a premium bonus).

You’ll find swipe copy and graphics in the Resource Vault below.

5. Live Participation

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

All I ask is that you jump into the attendee Facebook group at least once a day to engage with attendees and answer any questions.

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the All-Access Pass where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by 8/30.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers
  • 60% for all speakers who include a premium bonus

The pricing structure is not yet finalized, but it will be:

  • $49 for 20 minutes after initial registration
  • $69 from 7/6 – 7/19
  • $89 from 7/20 – 7/26

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads.

Just remember to use your affiliate link, which you can create or look up here.

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.

Or login to your existing account here
